3

Is there a SCADA

e.g. >

Which software is it

Wonderware InTouch, GE Fanuc iFix, ACCOS, etc.?

4

a.  Does the SCADA PC have an Ethernet connection?

b.  Is there a spare Ethernet connection to connect to this SCADA PC?

5

If there is NOT an Ethernet network:

6

If there is a spare communications port

What is the I.D./reference of the port?

7

If there IS an Ethernet network:

i.e. >

Would there be any problem adding our PC, which hopefully we will be dialling into, to the network.

does the I.T. dept. allow remotely-accessed PCs on to the network?

Is there a spare Ethernet port available?

8

If multiple CIPs are to be monitored:

Would installing an Ethernet network be considered for the PLCs that require monitoring?

This would require cables to be installed and PLCs may need upgrading either with an expansion card or total replacement, but may only require one In-Site PC to monitor multiple CIPs.

9

Location for PC?

Location for PC bearing in mind that it will probably need to be fairly close to the PLC if there is no Ethernet network?
